Welcome to We Let the Dogs Out, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, digital platforms and any services provided by We Let the Dogs Out, LLC. By accessing our site, submitting a request, or engaging our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Services We Provide

We Let the Dogs Out, LLC offers professional pet-care services along the Connecticut shoreline, including but not limited to:

  • Dog walking
  • Pet sitting
  • Vacation care
  • Overnight care
  • Puppy care
  • Pet taxi services
  • Enrichment visits
  • Out & About dog adventures
  • Dog training

All services are scheduled, managed and documented through Time to Pet (TTP) or other approved platforms.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time.

2. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the safety and well-being of pets, staff and property, clients agree to:

A. Provide Accurate Information

Clients must provide complete and up-to-date information regarding:

  • Pet behavior, routines, medical needs, allergies
  • Home access instructions
  • Emergency contacts
  • Veterinary information
  • Any known risks or household safety issues

B. Maintain a Safe Environment

Clients must ensure:

  • Safe entry/exit for our staff
  • Pets are appropriately secured upon arrival/departure
  • All equipment (leashes, harnesses, crates, etc.) is in safe condition
  • Any hazardous areas, chemicals, or property risks are disclosed

C. Vaccinations & Health

Clients represent that all pets under our care:

  • Are current on required vaccinations
  • Are free of contagious diseases or parasites
  • Are fit for physical activity required by scheduled services

If a pet shows signs of illness or injury, we may refuse or suspend services until resolved.

3. Scheduling, Payments & Cancellations

A. Scheduling

All service requests, modifications, and cancellations must be submitted through Time to Pet or the office.

B. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due according to the rates listed on our website or client portal.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe, TTP, or other approved providers.
  • Returned payments, failed charges or unpaid balances may result in suspension of services.

C. Cancellations

Cancellation policies vary by service type (daily walks, pet sitting, overnights, holidays, etc.) as outlined in client onboarding materials. Late cancellations may incur fees.

4. Safety & Liability

We prioritize the safety of pets, clients, and staff. By using our services, clients acknowledge and agree that:

A. Pet Behavior Risks

Animals may behave unpredictably. While we follow professional safety standards, we are not responsible for:

  • Injuries caused by a pet to itself, other animals, staff or third parties
  • Damage caused by a pet during or outside a visit

B. Home Access & Security

We will:

  • Follow provided entry/exit instructions
  • Lock doors as instructed
  • Maintain confidentiality of access codes and keys

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or maintenance issues
  • Faulty locks, alarms or home systems

C. Emergency Care

In the event of an emergency, we may:

  • Administer pet first aid
  • Transport a pet to the nearest veterinary facility
  • Contact the client and/or emergency contact
  • Authorize treatment when the client cannot be reached

Clients are responsible for all veterinary costs.

5. Weather & Conditions

We reserve the right to modify or suspend outdoor services during conditions unsafe for pets or staff, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme heat or cold
  • Thunderstorms
  • Ice, snow, or hazardous travel conditions
  • Air quality alerts

Alternative indoor enrichment will be provided when possible.

6. Photography, Social Media & Marketing

We may take photos or videos of pets during services for:

  • Visit reports
  • Social media posts
  • Marketing materials

Photos are used respectfully and never include identifying home/location details.

Clients may opt out at any time by contacting us.

7. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, service descriptions, branding, designs and graphics, is the property of We Let the Dogs Out, LLC and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without permission.

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the website
  • Attempt to access restricted areas or systems
  • Interfere with website functionality

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA). The Privacy Policy explains:

  • What data we collect
  • How we use and store it
  • Your rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict data

9. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at our discretion, including situations involving:

Clients may terminate services at any time, subject to any applicable cancellation fees.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Continuous website availability
  • Error-free functionality
  • Specific service outcomes

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law, We Let the Dogs Out, LLC is not liable for:

  • Damages arising from pet behavior
  • Loss, injury or illness not caused by our negligence
  • Third-party failures (payment processors, scheduling systems, etc.)
  • Indirect, incidental or consequential damages

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service at issue.

12. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless We Let the Dogs Out, LLC and its staff from claims arising out of:

  • Pet behavior
  • Inaccurate or incomplete information provided
  • Violations of these Terms
  • Injuries or property damage caused by pets

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes shall be resolved in Connecticut courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when posted with a revised “Effective Date.”

Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
